Getting Started
TraceAid Recovery contacted you because our asset investigation team identified unclaimed
funds or other financial assets that may be connected to you or a relative.
There are many reasons funds may remain unclaimed for years—or even
decades—before we identify and locate someone who may be entitled to them.
Records can become outdated, ownership can change over time, and cases
involving deceased owners or heirs may require extensive investigation to establish
the proper connection. In many cases, our research begins long after the funds were
originally transferred to the government office or custodian holding them.
We conduct extensive preliminary research before contacting anyone. If we reach out to
you, our research has identified a potential connection between you and specific
unclaimed funds, whether as the original owner, an heir, or another legally entitled party.
The state or government agency holding the funds will make the final determination of
entitlement once your claim is submitted and reviewed.
It’s more common than you might think. Funds can become unclaimed when a company
loses contact with you, your address or contact information changes, an account is
forgotten, or a financial interest is transferred without your knowledge. In other cases,
the funds may have belonged to a deceased relative and you were never aware they
existed. Once remitted to a state or government agency, the funds can remain there
until someone with a rightful interest comes forward to claim them.
If the assets belonged to a deceased relative, you may still be entitled to recover them
as an heir or executor of their estate. The recovery process may require additional
documentation and, in some cases, specific legal documents to establish your
entitlement to the funds. Our team is highly experienced in estate recovery and will
guide you through the specific state-required protocols.
The Claim Process
Very little. Our team manages the recovery process on your behalf from start to finish.
We’ll begin by coordinating a brief notary appointment to get the process started, and
from there, we handle the preparation, submission, and ongoing management of your
claim until the process is complete.
Most state and government agencies require signatures on certain forms and affidavits
to be notarized as part of the recovery process. Notarization helps verify your identity,
protect against fraud, and ensure that only the rightful owner or their legal
representative can authorize the release of the funds.
Documentation requirements vary depending on the funds and the agency holding
them. In most cases, you’ll need a valid government-issued photo ID and
documentation establishing your connection to the funds. For claims involving a
deceased owner, additional documentation may be required to establish your legal
authority or entitlement to act on their behalf.
Processing times vary depending on the complexity of the claim and the agency
involved. Some claims may be resolved within 3 to 6 months, while claims involving
estates, multiple owners, court supervision, or additional legal requirements may take
longer. Our team will do everything possible to expedite the process, actively monitor
your claim, and keep you updated along the way.
After your notary appointment, our team will prepare your complete claim package and
submit the appropriate forms and supporting documentation to the agency holding the
funds. From there, we manage the claim on your behalf, communicate with the agency
as needed, and keep you updated throughout the review process.
While we maintain a success rate of over 98% and an exceptional track record of
successful recoveries, final approval is determined by the government office or
custodian holding the funds. Although no recovery can be guaranteed, our team
works diligently to give every claim the best opportunity for a successful outcome. If
for any reason your claim is denied, you are not responsible for paying us any
fee.
Fees & Payment
No. We never ask for any upfront fees, credit card information, or retainer payments.
TraceAid Recovery covers the expenses associated with pursuing your claim,
including legal fees when applicable. If we do not successfully recover your funds,
you owe us absolutely nothing.
This is our performance guarantee. If the state holding agency denies the claim, or if the asset cannot be recovered for any reason, our firm absorbs all costs, and our service is completely free. We are only compensated when we successfully put the money back in your pocket.
We work on a contingency fee basis, meaning we only get paid when we
successfully recover funds on your behalf. Our professional service fee is a
percentage of the recovered funds and is only due after your claim is approved and
the funds are released. If we are unsuccessful in recovering your funds, you owe us
nothing.
